Sorry for the delay in post. I forget that Haven has school ALLLLL day now, so I can't just put her to work whenever I like. She likes to do the name pulls and is is now negotiating fees. If you don't know this about my daughter, you do now. She is the BAG LADY. She likes to collect bags and money to put in these bags...therefor, she is affectionately called "MONEY BAGS" in our home.

Lovely Aubry! Thanks for such a great time girl. You are so much fun to shoot, I'm glad you finally got to be on the other end of the camera for a change.

Aubs is an up and coming photographer. She is beautiful, creative, crazy, dedicated and such a hard worker. I've been lucky to have her assist me a time or two and I see nothing but great things in her future. I had a bunch of technical malfunctions with my light and I can honestly say I was NOT impressive to behold. We were hot, and sweating, and in need of a major diet soft drink but we still had a great time, and Aubry still looked amazing! LOVE YA!!

Here are a few shots from our weekend of fun in California. We were there during the Hurley Surf Open and spent an evening wandering around Huntington Beach. These night shots were taken about 10p.m. in near darkness. The 5D mark 11 can rock low light to satisfaction if I do say so myself.

SUMMER 2009 LUTALI FAMILY PICTURES -Newport Beach

I was finally able to wrap up all of the Lutali Family shoots. It was so much fun and I really can't say enough about our weekend with them.

I very rarely get far behind in my editing. I went from a wedding shoot, to 7 family shoots, and a one on one work shop, back to hawaii for my grandfathers funeral, and then back shooting a wedding, a summer cold and full day school from my girl. I am amazed I made it through with my sanity. I'm feeling more like myself and I am on my way to the post office to send a bunch of packages.

Thank you so much all of you who are so willing to send a kind message, or call! I really feel so very blessed to have incredible friends and peers who truly have my best interest in mind!

Thank you again LUTALI FAMILY!!! See you all soon....I need to find some of that amazing funnel cake!

OTUAFI FAMILY 2009 -Little Corona Del Mar California

Thanks to this beautiful family I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Lutali family, at large. Two of my favorite people in the world, produced 5 of my favorite little people of all time...and because of these 7, I now am in love with the 40 something people who call themselves LUTALI's! That as good as my math gets! LOL! Love you all! Thank you for all your kind support and asking me to be apart of your family activities. We really think the world of you Niki, Nela and kids!

Just found this little treasure. I had separated my files and I found a file full of unedited images from Rose and Legi's wedding! It was like Christmas morning! No...better...DEFINITLY better!

Afton and Zach Wilson- Married

"If you could marry anyone in the whole world, who would it be??" Have you ever thought about that? If YOU could have the pick of the lot, and choose exactly who you wanted to spend the rest of your life with....WHO would YOU choose? Me? My husband of course!!

Afton's mom asked her this very question over a year and a half ago. Her reply surprised even Afton......Zach Wilson. They had known each-other for years, but she was always the little girl, and he was the older kid that all the girls had a crush on. They weren't dating, or even close to dating for that matter, and yet the world turned itself upside down and inside out, to make her wish come true. Life has a funny way of doing that.

I heard once that marriage is the "happiness decision". If you succeed in money, your job, and everything you lay your hand to and marry the wrong person, you will never be happy. On the other hand if you fail at everything you attempt, lose every penny and every possession you've earned, but somehow manage to marry the right person, you will still be happy.

Love like this is a pleasure to document. It is beautiful, and real, and the joy it creates is truly remarkable. I love both Afton and Zach and their families.

The reception was held at Wadley Farm in Lindon. It was a perfect Summer evening. Sherry Perry was the genius behind the beautiful flowers. Everything was breath taking.

Aupiu Family 2009 -California

Another beautiful family in the books! Meet the Aupiu's!! I am almost caught up. Thank you for your patience and giving me time to get each of your family shoots up guys. I will be so relieved to get back to a normal 2a.m. schedule. I can't wait untill we can see your family again, get another yummy funnel cake and drag our kids off the stage. I heart California!

Afton Delgrosso -Bridals

Afton found this amazing dress in Las Vegas, while finishing up her contract with Le Rev. It was custom fit and altered to perfection with amazing detail covering every inch of it. I couldn't imagine a more perfect dress for her. We shot on a trail behind the Delgrosso home. A trail the girls were "forced" to walk every single Sunday, Chirstmas included. All but one of Afton's sisters were in town and they all came out to support and encourage her on this shoot. I heard a funny collection of stories that helped me understand why this location was so important, but more important I could feel the love and support between the girls. I never get tired of photographing this girl. I will be sad when we get through the wedding and I won't have another scheduled shoot to look forward to!! Love ya girl!

Filipo + Marisa and Baby Lanea

When I say...genes are good in this family, I mean genes are GOOD in this family. Beautiful little girls like this make a mama proud and make a daddy buy a security system. LOL! We started this shoot at the beach but the tide was coming in hard and threatening to wash our children out to sea, so we finished at the Shore Line in Long Beach. I could have gone on and on, with all the colorful walls, interesting locations, and pretty faces! Love you guys! Thank you for such a fun HOT day! Can't wait to see you up here in the fall!

Heres to Choices....

I'm just getting rolling, after another crazy weekend. In life there is always a choice. You can choose to be apart of things that inspire, challenge, and sometimes disappoint you or you can sit by and watch life pass you by. My husband has taught me how to dream and how to believe when I want to doubt. He is my greatest support and best friend. I wanted to thank him, not only for this weekend, but for everyday!

Three Houses Down

This weekend I had the opportunity to shoot for Black Sand again. Both shows were amazing. Both headlined Three Houses Down, a Tongan Reggae group from Otora, New Zealand. I saw their first American performance last year in Anaheim, and was happy to be shooting them on their tour this summer.
